Event Description:
Annual charity event that is hosted by the Ventura County Sheriff Foundation. Shop With A Cop 2016 was our biggest ever! Supporters, along with donations from sponsors, helped provide over 125 under-resourced youth with a $100 Target Christmas shopping spree. The kids were identified and selected by Deputies and school resource officers on a needs-basis, and for many, this program provided the only Christmas gifts they would receive. Perhaps the most heart-warming part was watching some of the kids use their gift card to purchase presents for parents or siblings instead of themselves.
